Slow Curtains

Our in house studio made "Slow Curtains" are sculptural beaded strands made from Montessori inspired blocks resembling stacked river stones. These faceted wooden forms are designed to function as a spatial divider, view filter, and quiet statement piece.

Each curtain is anchored by a custom-fit 2×2 Douglas fir base, providing a quiet structural framework from which the strands are suspended. For our standard length configuration, each strand is composed of approximately 50 solid beech wood beads, threaded on extra-strength paracord.

Stained wood components are treated with a penetrating hardwax oil finish that enhances the natural grain, deepens tone, and provides durable, long-lasting protection with a soft, matte feel.

Due to the scale and variability of each installation, online orders are treated as made-to-order. Measurements, proportions, and hanging details are adjusted as needed, and our team will be in touch after purchase to confirm and refine these details, ensuring the final piece is properly tailored to its intended space. A limited selection of finished pieces is also available in-store for immediate viewing and purchase.
